Introduction: Within theses two video are all the explanations about the music video we've done, this also help us to talk in detail about each convention we've use and the impact it had on the video and the viewer. These two videos are point of view from the target audience but also a summery of our experience and the skill gain compared to the production that we have done last year. in the first video we express the different way in which we've been challenge by the different form of convention that exist in real media product.the evaluation i have done to help me create and adapt my music video to the Target audience. this video has been really helpful to give feedback about the music sound, asual as the feedback we ensured that a different ethnicity and gender have been take to express their point of view about the different question we had
The three product that me and team members have product have been examined by potential target audience student who give me and my group the ability to reflect on our production. Positive points as well as negative point have been express trough out the examination. The colour were well represented in the video as it reinforce and conform to all convention present in R&B music video. The protagonist is perplex each situation as he is more than explicit on his lyrics, facial expression or things that it may do (straight facial exppression ). The simplicity of the artist with and gold watch express how the target audience can identify him as( simple and wealthy). The final magazine have been made with loads of changes in comparison to the draft that I previously done. The draft incorporated the face of Ratlin seen as a close up with key props to relate to the music video. Never less me and my group have decided to make it more simple and using specific colour to relate to the digipak and give a them to the three production ( romance, passion, heart broken). When the target audience were talking about the music it directly conform to all convention that we used.
Many video have been taken as inspiration as the target audience is the same. Therefore the reason why i can say that i tried to follow as many code of convention as possible as it enables me to work efficiently and to ensure that by three product are directly recognise as R&B genre videos. This also conform to the repetition and difference theory, here the same convention are used but with a different storyline, so the target audience can be captivated and still find it eye catching. We tried to mix different r&b video together. Firstly the 50 cent song (21 question) lyrics relate to the lyric of my chosen music song with question about love, adding to that both rappers uses the same method of singing by rapping. The first video on your left is a story life which same as my video conform to real life story and late the target audience relate and emphasis in this situation. I like the emotion given to the viewer as it subvert to the actual stereotype of gangsters who are known as individual who don't have feeling and reinforce their reputation throughout the action they do (murder, robbing).
Same as the video of Kelly Roland and Nelly we wanted to merge a story line and the performance together. Going on the same emotion and narrative this video is exactly the same emotion we wanted to use as example. The final production of my music video have been edited in the purpose of letting the audience captivated and relate to or if not thinking about this issue and have visceral pleasure are (a feeling of revolted)
conclusion:
The idea of selecting a different category of people helped me and my group members to differentiate our target audience but also to get different point of view in the way we can make our target audience more attracted and maybe attract other target audience categories.
